OK... tonight is DD's GS Christmas party (yup it's early.. not the leader's fault tho) so I had to scramble to make a gift that was suitable for those ladies...
Recycled felted sweater trees didn't take much of the sweater at all... the two tone one is from two sweaters. The center is a piece of a wire hanger and I glued some posterboard on the bottom to cover the hanger
I think I'll make a big one for here at home. I grabbed the perfect star for the top from Ollies yesterday..... with some beads sewn on it it coud be fab! But I didn't have time... between the baby sweaters and everything else this month brings... YIKES!I hope they like their little decorations.

Pretty and what a great idea! ~Lanie
I love this, I love recycling old sweaters, as a matter of fact I'm off to find some right now. :)
French Picnic loves anything recrafted, Great work!!
Thanks for stopping by! Fellow pear here saying that I love the tree. I have not made anything yet from a recycled sweater, but I have a purse started. I hope to get to that soon. I also have another felted sweater waiting to be made into a tote but my son is borrowing it for the season. I love your wish list. I, too, always wanted a grand piano and 3 years ago my wish came true. It's been used, so no need to worry about scratches - it came with them! My kids play it and it's really loud and echoes, but I love it. I hope you get your wish some day.
What a fun idea! I've never thought of a tree made with felted sweaters (though I use them for all sorts of other projects). Great idea!
Visiting you from PEAR!
