We had an in-service day today by presenter Steve Sassaman on Differentiated Instuction. I took along a few knitting projects, sat right in the front and knitted the entire time. He even made comment that in one class he was teaching he saw a woman knitting and thought sarcastically, 'oh boy, she's gonna to be contributing lots' when in fact she did because she was able to better concentrate with busy hands... so he didn't mind and I also did more than my share of insightful contribution (need to blow my own horn...superintendent said so LOL)
At any rate, I took along DH's tie and this is the progress I made. This is indeed the tie that has been frogged too many times to count, giving me the new name Penelope. It is far from finished, but I made quite a bit of progress today. The stitch is a bit consuming, but I think it will be well worth it... and DH will have himself a custom designed one of a kind tie. This version was started Friday late afternoon. Also when my hands got tired of the tiny #2 bamboo needles I switched over to the umbilical cord hat. I'm happy to say that I finished it this evening.

It's beautiful.. Marie's cloths are so nice... and those 2 blogs are possibly my favorites. Firefly has a great talent for writing, and photography and...... so creative!
